Farmyard, home, heimat; 'The home became a means for multi-species coexistence; the home of one species was the body of another. It is no coincidence that such a revolution in the idea of "domestic" space as the garden occurs through a redefinition of our relationship with the plant world the trees in particular. It was de garden that turned the home into something urban , stable, fixed to the ground, and therefore mineral. When humanity decided to bind its destiny to a group of trees or perennial plants that grew in one place, homes stopped travelling and became fixed to the ground, just like plats. All species make their own homes by building on the life of others.'*
