RLS Eelde project 2015 - 2016
The “RLS Eelde Project“ presented here is a representation of the flora, both natural and cultivated collected from the garden of the former “Rijksluchtvaartschool“ between October 2015 and May 2016.
The 38 colour plates ( Residues ) are natural dyes extracted from plants gathered around the terrain and transferred to film material which is printed on colour photographic paper.
The 103 black and silver bronze images are silver gelatine photograms representing the enormous diversity of flora within this relatively small sample area.
Much of this plant material has since been cleared. The mosses, the perennial Honesty and European Hazelnut surrounding the pond and many tiny pioneer plants nestled between the stones, in the return of the garden to its cultivated state.
